[ACA E&C] CEREMONY FOR THE PARTIAL OPENING OF THE WORKS ON THE RIGHT BANK OF THE MONDEGO RIVER

The riverside promenade of Aeminium was partially reopened to pedestrian traffic, about four years after it was closed for extensive requalification works, which are practically finished.

The contract works to requalify the public space on the right bank of the Mondego River, in the city of Coimbra, is practically concluded and partially reopened to pedestrian circulation on September 2nd

The work, over a total length of 1.3km, included the construction of the Mondego retaining walls and the requalification of Cidade de Aeminium and Emídio Navarro avenues in the lanes bordering the river, earthworks and paving, the reformulation of the sanitation, electricity and public lighting networks and the execution of road signage and landscaping works.

The project allowed the definition of wider living areas and a closer relationship with the water plane, namely the reformulation of the old access ramps to the river.
