ACA Brasil carries out works in Parque Oeste, Rio de Janeiro

ACA Brasil is carrying out a series of interventions in Parque Oeste, a 234,000-square-metre space located in Inhoaíba, in Rio de Janeiro’s West Zone, near Campo Grande.

The project includes the construction of schools with a capacity for 740 children, built with prefabricated structures, with roofs completed and thermal-acoustic walls being installed, as well as the associated infrastructure.

The Olympic swimming pool, a legacy of the Rio 2016 Olympic Park, has received 84 helical piles and is moving forward with the concreting of reinforced concrete structures, including the control chamber and the area where the metal panels will be installed. The viewing platform, with stainless steel guardrails already installed, is moving on to the installation of the lighting system, designed to create a striking visual effect.

Among the new water attractions, the Cascade Shower has advanced in the foundations and reinforced concrete structures, while the shaded areas, known as “Ballerinas” or “Amoebas”, already have six units erected.

The project also includes the construction of a building for the future Municipal Guard station, as well as landscaping, urban planning, and infrastructure networks, ensuring the enhancement and safety of this important public space.
